Feldman Country Acts Dominate at the CMAOntario Awards
It was a historic evening last night in London as the Ontario Country Music Industry gathered to celebrate the biggest stars of this past year. Held at the Centennial Hall, The CMAOntario Awards featured performances from a wide range of Feldman acts including some of the biggest names in Canadian country music as well as those up-and-coming: Andrew Hyatt, Dan Davidson, Jason Blaine, River Town Saints, The Reklaws, Meghan Patrick, Michelle Wright, and Tim Hicks!
Michelle Wright not only performed but received the 2018 Impact Award for the impactful career she’s had upon the country music industry in Ontario. Wright was the first Canadian country artist to reach the Top 10 in the U.S. with her hit, Take It Like A Man, in the early 1990s.
The biggest winners of the night included TFA’s Meghan Patrick and James Barker Band with three awards each. Meghan’s win for Female Artist of the Year is her second consecutive in that category. As well, her win for Video of the Year gives her the distinction as the only female solo artist to have won and the only artist to do so twice consecutively (male or female).
In total, nine awards were given to Feldman Artist this year. Congratulations to all!
