Eager fans lined the streets of Toronto last night for the 29th edition of the iHeartRadio MMVAs. Honouring the best in Canadian music, this year`s award show featured a star studded lineup of performers and appearances. No doubt, the presence of Feldman was felt throughout the night.
Starting the show off strong, Tyler Shaw serenaded the audience with a performance of his new single "With You". Recently married, Tyler`s wife was right by his side as he strolled down the red carpet.
Both Ralph and The Beaches were nominated for Best New Canadian Artist, with the latter performing their hit single "T-shirt" just before Shawn Mendes closed the show.
Alessia Cara - an MMVA veteran who co-hosted the show last year with Joe Jonas - took the stage for a performance of her new single "Growing Pains". Later in the show, she accepted the award for Video Of The Year on behalf of Logic for their collaboration "1-800-273-8255," which Cara noted "this is not my award. It is Logic`s song and message, but I`m proud to be part of it." She also gave a shoutout to the music video`s director Andy Hines, who is from Nova Scotia.
Francesco Yates and Scott Helman came together to present the award for Artist of the Year to Shawn Mendes. Helman tweeted "So proud to give @ShawnMendes the #ArtistOfTheYear award. So freaking deserved, and followed by an amazing performance."
